Former Vice President Atiku Urges Nigerians to Conquer Hate, Political Intolerance



The former Vice President through his Facebook page gave a message of peace as we Celebrate Eid-el Kabir.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar urges Nigerians to rid their hearts and minds of hate, intolerance and prejudice, which he says promote violent conflicts and destruction of life and property in the country.
In his passionate Sallah message on the occasion of Eid-el Kabir celebration, the former Vice President says every passing day he is saddened by the "deepening frenzy of hate, intolerance and bigotry", which produce toxic effects on unity and harmony among Nigerians.
According to the former Vice President, Nigerians should use religion to create a conflict free society, adding that "love is the universal language of all the world’s religions."

Shetima Urges Northern Governors to Work Towards Changing the North


The Northern  Governors’ Forum, NGF,  held its maiden meeting in Kaduna since the governors were sworn in last May.
The Governor of Borno State, Hon. Kashim Shetima, who is the Chairman of the Forum, read his opening address    in which he lamented that    poverty in Nigeria wears a Northern face.The meeting is taking place at the Hassan Katsina Hall, along Kawo road, with 12 out of the 19 Northern Governors in    attendance, while the rest were represented by their deputies.
He however affirmed that the days of lamentation were over, promising to lead the forum to a new prosperous north.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar Responds To The Blast

IDP Camp Bombed in Adamawa, 2 Feared Dead


The National Emergency Management Agency and Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency has confirmed a bomb blast at one of the Internal Displaced Persons’ camps in Yola.
According to Sanni Datti, spokesman of the state’s emergency agency, the name of the camp was identified as Malkohi and he said its inhabitants are currently being evacuated.
There were conflicting reports of the death toll at the camp, one of several in the capital of Adamawa state housing men, women and children who have fled the brutal, six-year conflict.
